Lloyd C. Blankfein is chairman and chief executive officer of The Goldman Sachs Group. Prior to assuming his current responsibilities, Blankfein served as the firm’s president and chief operating officer from December 2003 through June 2006. He is a member of the Harvard University Committee on University Resources, a member of the Advisory Board of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, an overseer of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and a co-chairman of the Partnership for New York City. In 2009, he was named “CEO of the Year” by NACD Directorship.
