Ernst & Young executive professor at J.M. Tull School of Accounting, Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, Dennis Beresford has been named to the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
Beresford’s extensive experience in financial reporting and corporate governance will bring valuable perspective to the organization as NACD continues to aid directors and boards successfully navigate the complex and changing corporate governance landscape.

Beresford serves as director and chairman of the audit committee of Fannie Mae, Kimberly-Clark, and Legg Mason. He previously served as chairman of the audit committee of MCI during the period that the company corrected its accounting misstatements and emerged from Chapter 11 reorganization.
