New Board Members Named at A.M. Castle & Co., Cal Dive, ITT Corp. and More...

A.M. Castle & Co., a global distributor of specialty metal and plastic products, has named Terrence J. Keating to the company’s board. 

 

Keating, the former CEO and current chairman of Accuride Corporation, is also a director of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association.

Cal Dive International Inc. has announced that in connection with a recent acquisition of Horizon Offshore Inc., two new members were added to its board: John T. Mills, the former chairman of Horizon, and David W. Sharp, formerly a director, president and CEO of Horizon.

 

Mills served on Horizon’s board from 2002 until December this year. Previously he was the CFO of Marathon Oil Corporation.  Sharp, in addition, was also executive vice president and CFO of Horizon, and prior to joining Horizon, he held various accounting and finance positions with J. Ray McDermott S.A. and with OPI International Inc.

ITT Corporation has named Surya N. Mohapatra, chairman and CEO of Quest Diagnostics Inc., to its board, effective February 14.

 

Mohapatra previously served as a senior vice president and member of the executive committee of Picker International, now part of Philips Medical Systems.

Judith A. Hemberger, formerly the co-founder, executive vice president and COO of Pharmion Corporation, has been named to Novacea Inc.’s board.

 

Hemberger recently served as interim CEO of Zosano Pharma, a privately-held biotechnology company. Prior to her employment with PHarmion, she worked at Marion Laboratories and successor companies Marion Merrell Dow and Hoechst Marion Roussel.  She currently serves on the boards of Renovis, Zymogenetics, Zosano Pharma, Atani Ltd., Chroma Therapeutics, and Perrigo Company.

 

What’s more, Daniel M. Bradbury, president and CEO of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, and a member of Novacea’s board since 2005, has been named the company’s lead director.
