Cloyd to Helm PwC Governance Center

Mary Ann Cloyd steps up to lead PwC Governance Center.

PwC’s Center for Board Governance formally announced this week that senior partner, Mary Ann Cloyd, as leader of the Center, effective July 1. Cloyd replaces John Barry who retired on June 30 from PwC after 35 years.

Cloyd will oversee the Center’s seven PwC partners and specialists, which includes Catherine Bromilow and Don Keller. With more than 35 years of tax and business consulting experience working with multinational corporate clients, Cloyd will continue her work with board directors facing the challenges of achieving strategic growth, risk management and a fast-changing regulatory environment. She also will oversee the production of the Center for Board Governance’s Annual Corporate Director Survey and will spearhead its numerous publications and education programs related to board governance.

In addition to offering insights and advice on leading governance practices, Cloyd is active in efforts to promote greater diversity in the boardroom. She has contributed to and participated in several leading events including those cohosted by NACD, PwC and Spencer Stuart.
