The Conference Board Task Force on Executive Compensation has issued a series of recommendations for public company boards to amend faulty pay practices. The recommendations are designed to return goodwill and mutual trust between corporations and the public that may have been damaged during the credit crisis. “Shareholders of American companies and the public deserve to see executive compensation programs that serve shareholders’ interests and are explained to shareholders in thoughtful dialogue,” said representatives from the Conference Board.
