		<description>Timely article.  I have interviewed many people who were seeking to be directors.  I almost always asked why they wanted to be a (government) director.  Few had thought it through.  One of the scary reasons was, &quot;I want to give something back.&quot;. Frankly, too many don&#039;t know what a director does and were attracted by status.  Sigh!</description>
