Broadcom appointed Eddy Hartenstein, former chairman and CEO of DIRECTV, and William Morrow, CEO of Pacific Gas & Electric Company to its board. Hartenstein served as DIRECTV’s CEO, chairman, vice chairman, and president from the company’s inception in 1990 until 2004. Morrow joined PG&E in 2006 as president and COO and became CEO in 2007.

Convergys announced the election of Willard W. Brittain to its board. Since March 2003, Brittain has served as chairman and CEO of Professional Resources on Demand, an executive search, interim placement, and business advisory firm. He previously served as COO of PwC Consulting and COO of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

SmartHeat appointed Arnold Staloff, current board member of Lehman Bros. Derivative Products, AgFeed Industries, and Shiner International; Fredric Rittereiser, former president of Wall Street firm Troster, Singer & Co.; and Weiguo Wang, PhD, currently assistant secretary general of the China Standardization Committee on Boilers and Pressure Vessels, to its board of directors.
