New Appointments for Millstein, Andreessen

The American Red Cross in Greater New York announced today that titan of corporate governance, Ira M. Millstein, has been named chairman of its board. Millstein is a senior partner at the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges and currently serves as chairman of American Red Cross in Greater New York’s chairman’s council.

The Goldman Sachs Group announced the election of Lakshmi N. Mittal to its board. Mittal will serve on the audit, compensation, and corporate governance and nominating committees of the board. Mittal's appointment will bring Goldman Sach's director count to 13 members.

Catalyst Paper appointed William (Bill) Dickson, to its board. Dickson is chairman of Fraserwood Industries, a family-owned timber remanufacturing business. He formally served as former partner of Lawson Lundell, where he practiced corporate and commercial law for more than 30 years.

Marc Andreessen, founder of Netscape, Opsware and Ning, and the former CTO of AOL, has been appointed to Facebook’s board of directors. Andreessen has been a mentor to Zuckerberg and will join Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, and Jim Breyer on Facebook’s board. Andreessen works full-time for Ning, a Facebook competitor. He will retain his chairman title at Ning.

Robert Dubner has been appointed to Perf Go Green Holding’s board of directors. Dubner, was a former U.S. and global leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers Middle Market Consulting Practice. He was also a member of IBM’s Business Consulting Services Global Middle Market leadership team.
