


August 13, 2008 Board Appointments at UBS, othersUBS AG named Bruno Gehrig to its board. Gehrig is chairman of Swiss Life Holding AG. He is a former member of the Swiss National Bank's governing board and member of the Federal Banking Commission. James Schiro, chief executive officer of Zurich Financial Services, UBS chairman Peter Kurer, and UBS CEO Marcel Rohner are also expected to join the UBS board. ___________________________________ Loews elected Ken Miller to its board. Miller has the CEO of Ken Miller Capital, a closely held merchant banking firm which invests in businesses at all stages of development, as well as advises third parties on transactions. __________________________________ Brooke Capital named James Woods to its board. Woods will join the board’s audit and compensation committees.
