Shedlarz is the former vice chairman of Pfizer, the world’s largest research-based biomedical and pharmaceutical company. Shedlarz, who retired in 2007, also served as a member of the Pfizer executive leadership team and helped set the strategic course of the company. ___________________________________

Humana named Marissa T. Peterson to its board. Peterson was formerly executive vice president of worldwide operations and services, and chief customer advocate for Sun Microsystems in Santa Clara, Calif. She retired in 2005 after 17 years with the company. ___________________________________
