New Board Members Named at Bristol-Myers, A. Schulman, More...

Bristol-Myers Squibb named Togo D. West, Jr. to the board. West, chairman of TLI Leadership Group and of Noblis, will serve as a member of the compensation and management development committee and the committee on directors and corporate governance.

 

West, who also serves on the boards of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and AbitibiBowater,  has also been the U.S. Secretary of the Army and of Veterans Affairs, and has practiced law as a partner in the New York law firm of Patterson, Belknap, Webb and Tyler, and was of counsel to the D.C.-based law firm Covington and Burling.

Three new directors were named to the board of plastic compounds and resins supplier A. Schulman. Stanley W. Silverman, Michael Caporle, Jr., and Lee Meyer, who were elected to the board by stockholders at the company’s January 10 meeting, joined James A. Mitarotonda as Class III directors.

 

Moreover, the company said it has expanded its board by one member, a slot they filled with the appointment of company President and CEO Joseph M. Gringo.

Analysts International appointed Joseph T. Dunsmore, CEO of Digi International, to its board.

 

Dunsmore, 49, has more than 25 years experience in the technology industry, and has served as Digi CEO since 1999. Previously, he served as the vice president of access for Lucent Microelectronics, acted as an independent consultant and executive for various Chicago area high-tech start-up businesses, and held executive management positions as vice president of product management and new-business initiatives at U.S. Robotics.

TreeHouse Foods named Diana S. Ferguson, CFO of Merisant Worldwide, to its board. She will fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Michelle R. Obama in May 2007.

 

Prior to her role at Merisant, Ferguson served as CFO of Sara Lee Foodservice. She is currently a member of the board of Integrys Energy Group and also serves on the non-profit board of Leadership Greater Chicago, and is active on the Kellogg School Alumni advisory board.
