New Board Members Named at Armeren, Federal Reserve of San Francisco, GlaxoSmithKline and More...

Walter J. Galvin, senior executive vice president and CFO of Emerson Electric Co., was named to Ameren Corporation’s board of directors last week.

 

Galvin, who has been Emerson’s CFO since 1993, was named executive vice president of the company in 2000 and senior executive vice president in 2004.  He has served as a management member of Emerson’s board since 2000.

 

“Walter Galvin brings a depth of financial experience with a highly respected Fortune 500 company,” said Gary L. Rainwater, Ameren chairman and CEO in a statement.  “He offers a keen understanding of regional concerns and national economic development issues from his involvement with key local organizations and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.”

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has named two new members to its board.  William D. Jones, president and CEO of CityLink Investment Corp., and Daniel P. Myers, president and CEO of Bridge Bank N.A., have been elected to three year terms effective January 1.

 

What’s more, the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System re-designated current board members David K.Y. Tang and T. Gary Rogers for another three-year term beginning January 1.

Among recent changes within the company, GlaxoSmithKline PLC has named Andrew Witty, CEO designate and president of Pharmaceuticals Europe, and Chris Viebacher, president of U.S. Pharmaceuticals, as executive directors of its board effective January 31.

 

What’s more, Eddie Gray, currently the senior vice president and general manager of Pharmaceuticals UK, will succeed Witty as president of Pharmaceuticals Europe, effective January 1.

 

Finally, David Stout, president of pharmaceuticals, will leave the company this coming February.

The American Italian Pasta Company has announced the appointment of Robert Druten to its board of directors.  Druten, who will join the company’s audit committee, has more than 30 years experience in finance and accounting. 

 

Most recently, Druten served as executive vice president and CFO of Hallmark Cards Inc., from 1994 until his retirement in 2006.  Currently, he serves on the boards of Kansas City Southern, Alliance Holdings GP L.P., and Entertainment Properties Trust.

Medical Device Maker St. Jude Medical Inc. named Barbara B. Hill to a newly created position on its board.

 

Hill, currently the president, board member and CEO of ValueOptions, has nearly 30 years experience within the health care industry, including past roles as president of Express Scripts.
