New Board Members Named at Futuremedia, EMC, OnScreen Technologies, and More...

Futuremedia PLC, an e-learning provider and design, exhibition and events agency, has appointed Sabine Steinbrecher as a director of the company, and named CEO George O’Leary chairman of the board. He succeeds Jan Vandamme, who has resigned as chairman.

 

Steinbrecher is the founder, president and CEO of Learning Library Inc., an online professional education management and publishing firm.

EMC Corporation has elected Paul Sagan to its board.  Sagan, president and CEO of Boston-based Akamai Technologies Inc., will also serve as a member of the company’s mergers and acquisitions committee.

 

Sagan also serves as a director of Maven Networks, and is an immediate past member of the Dow Jones & Company board.  He is also a member of the Dean’s Council at HarvardUniversity’s Kennedy School of Government , an advisor to the MATCH charter public high school in Boston, and a member of the presidential advisory council at Berklee College of Music.

International Consolidated Companies Inc. has announced that Steve Seidensticker and Ronald D. Ciaravella have been named to the company’s board.

 

Seidensticker has held CEO and COO positions at various companies for the past 27 years. Ciaravella has more than 30 years experience as a successful entrepreneur and is an active community member, serving on many local and regional boards.

Alternative fuel provider Pacific Ethanol Inc. has named Larry Layne, retired vice chairman of Sanwa Bank, to its board.

 

Layne, served 37 years with Sanwa and its predecessor, Lloyd’s Bank California, as well as board chairman of The Eureka Funds. Layne will now serve on Pacific’s audit and compensation committees.

Espial Group Inc., a leader in the delivery of IPTV middleware and applications, has announced that Pierre Donaldson has been appointed by the board to replace Charles Chi, who recently resigned, as a director of the company.

 

Donaldson, a partner at JLA Ventures, a major shareholder of Espial, has gained experience over the past 22 years in the software and high-tech industries in executive roles across several companies, including president and CEO of Bioscrypt Inc.
