Boston, MA May 16, 2007 – Directorship, the leading publication for chief executives and board directors covering corporate governance, shareholder and boardroom issues, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new editors.
Jeff Cunningham, chairman and editor in chief of NewsMarkets, Directorship’s parent company, said, “We are so pleased to welcome Joe and Judy to our company. Joseph McCafferty, currently a senior editor at CFO Magazine published by the Economist Group, joins Directorship as managing editor in the Boston bureau. He will be responsible for overseeing the editorial activities of the magazine, conferences, newsletters, and websites. At CFO, Joe was responsible for editing and writing many of the best-read features and reports on issues ranging from accounting, stocks, health care, pensions, investor relations, and other corporate-finance topics. Before joining CFO, he was an editor at Investment Profiles, a magazine for stockbrokers.
Judy Warner was formerly editor and bureau chief for Adweek/New England and prior to that was a reporter for The Boston Globe. She joins Directorship as assistant managing editor in the Boston bureau.
Directorship will relaunch its website in September of this year, which will feature seven new research centers: rational regulation, global governance, crisis management, performance and compensation, global risk and liability, shareholder studies, and board practice. Its two major annual Boardroom Forums will take place in Malibu, Calif., on June 26-27, 2007 and in New York City on December 11-12, 2007.
