Is Google CEO Larry Page ill?

Google shareholders are calling for more information on Google CEO Larry Page’s recent vocal problems which caused him to miss the company’s annual meeting.

According to Fox Business, Google says CEO Larry Page has “lost his voice,” and some corporate governance experts think the Internet giant should provide more details. The 39-year-old co-founder missed Google’s annual meeting this past Thursday, and company officials confirm he will miss two other important engagements over the next several weeks. Susquehanna Financial Group analyst Herman Leung says he has begun to get calls from concerned investors. He and Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, a senior associate dean at Yale School of Management, are calling on the Google board to inform shareholders about the cause and likely duration of Page’s condition. The latter warns a degenerative health problem “could have a material adverse impact on the company.”
