DOJ Looks at KPMG Role in Century Collapse

A court investigator found that KPMG LLP devised some of the accounting strategies that let New Century Financial Corp. hide its financial problems for years and recommended suing the accounting firm for professional negligence. 

 

The New York Times reports that a five-month investigation by the Department of Justice into the collapse of Century culminated in  a report that places blame on KPMG.
