Goldman’s Blankfein Pushes to Help ’10,000 Women Initiative’

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein stresses the importance of women in upper management positions.

The Clinton Global Initiative’s summit brought together an assorted group of leaders, ranging from former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, to JPMorgan’s CEO Jamie Dimon and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, who will also be speaking at Directorship’s Boardroom Leaders Forum in New York City this November. According to Blankfein, women offer the “highest ROI,” reports FastCompany.com. Blankfein pointed out that Goldman Sachs plans to focus its efforts in the 10,000 Women initiative, using it as a possible “recruitment and retention too. We lose people to public service in the middle of their careers. This initiative makes people feel more complete and fulfilled. People and reputation. We are fiduciaries to manage the firm for the long haul,” Blankfein added.
