Madoff’s Trustees Gets $15.5M

Baker & Hostetler and partner Irving Picard, who was appointed trustee of the Madoff firm last year, asked a bankruptcy judge to approve nearly $15.5 million in fees for its work in the case.

Baker & Hostetler and partner Irving Picard, who was appointed trustee of the Madoff firm last year, asked a bankruptcy judge to approve nearly $15.5 million in fees for its work in the case, reports The Wall Street Journal.

 

In the fee request, the firm and Picard, cited closing down Madoff’s operations and coordinating efforts with federal authorities investigating the Ponzi scheme.

 

The request was filed in a Manhattan bankruptcy court. Baker requested $14.7 million, while Picard sought an additional $759,000, or nearly $700 an hour.
