Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack was paid about $1.6 million insalary and other compensation for the 2007 fiscal year. The firm’s overallprofit fell about 57 percent, according to Reuters.
Mack’s total compensation neared $18 million last year,according to a company filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission,reports Reuters. The total included $16.5 million in gains from the exerciselast year of previously granted options and stock grands. Much of the othercompensation related to Mack’s use of company aircraft.
Still, Mack did not receive a bonus, which is consistentwith is request that he not receive one in light of Morgan Stanley’s $3.59billion loss in the fourth quarter.
