


March 31, 2008 Most Trusted CompaniesFor a second year, Forbes has released a list of the 100 most trustworthy companies based on a score that ranks small-, medium-, and large-cap companies on the basis of the most transparent financial accounting.
Audit Integrity says the companies on its list “consistently release transparent accounting statements” and “follow conservative accounting procedures.” Top-ranked companies also exhibit no signs of revolving-door management, or substantial insider trading relative to their peers.
The top five most-trusted companies among large caps were Loews Corp., HJ Heinz, Sunoco, AGCO, and Consolidated Industries.
Leading mid-cap companies for most-trusted were Mercury General, Transatlantic Holdings, American National Insurance, Hearts-Argyle Television, and Tech Data.
Among small-cap companies, Audit Integrity listed PC Connection, Sauer-Danfoss, Fred’s Universal Electronics, and Middlesex Water at the top of its list.
