March 13, 2008 Perry Leaves MBIA Board to ConsultMBIA has asked Debra Perry to
consult on a project to assist both the board’s credit risk committee of the
board of directors and chairman and CEO Jay Brown to refine and implement
MBIA’s risk strategy for the global credit markets going forward. Perry will
step down from her board position immediately. “Debra has made enormous
contributions to our Board,” Brown said. “She has served on the audit, credit
risk, and finance committees of the board since joining us in 2004. Given the
challenge we face in retooling our risk management parameters and processes,
and Debra’s extensive experience in credit markets, I couldn’t ask for a more
qualified person.” Perry serves on the boards of
Conseco and Korn/ Ferry International. Prior to joining the board of MBIA, she
was chief credit officer at Moody's Corporation from 1992 to 2004. Tags: mbia (1) debray perry (1) jay brown (1) conseco (1) korn/ferry (1) moody's corporation (1) director news (99) corporate governance (193) strategy & leadership (131)
