Two senior executives have left EMI Group, the flailing music company that was purchased last year by London-based private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners.
Chris Roling, president of EMI’s music division, left the company in September after completing projects there. Ashley Unwin, president of EMI music’s U.K. and Irish businesses, also left recently and will not be replaced, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Both men were Terra Firma executives who worked on the acquisition of EMI and had joined after the deal closed as part of an effort to stabilize the business.
In July, Terra Firma CEO Guy Hands appointed a former Procter & Gamble manager, Elio Leoni-Sceti, CEO of EMI’s music division. Leoni-Sceti restructured the division, splitting it into three units: new music, catalog, and music services, according to WSJ.
