The index highlights that business owners are worried about the economy, weary of the turbulent political climate, and are hesitant to expand. According to the index, the number of small business owners expecting business conditions to improve over the next six months fell 8 percentage points last month. Meanwhile, nearly one quarter of participants said they were most concerned about weak sales.
