Steele to Serve on Chief Justices Task Force

Myron T. Steele has been named to the Conference of Chief Justices Task Force.

Delaware Chief Justice Myron T. Steele has been appointed to serve on the Conference of Chief Justices Task Force on the Regulation of Foreign Lawyers and the International Practice of Law. The task force has been asked to provide the Conference of Chief Justices with an overview of the national and international pressures on the system of regulation of the practice of law in the United States, including initiatives at the federal level; a summary of current state responses to those pressures; and recommendations to the Conference for a more coherent response by state supreme courts. Steele will join fellow state supreme court justices Randall T. Shepard (Indiana); Margaret H. Marshall (Massachusetts);  Ronald M. George (California); Carol W. Hunstein (Georgia); Jonathan Lippman (New York); and Peggy A. Quince (Florida).
