Three Named to Toyota North American Diversity Advisory Board

Toyota announced yesterday that three new members have been named to the company’s North American Diversity Advisory Board, during its 18th annual Opportunity Exchange minority business conference and trade fair.

Phyllis Campbell, president and CEO of the Seattle Foundation;Gilbert Casellas, vice president of corporate responsibility for Dell; andJames Lowry, senior advisor for the Boston Consulting Group were appointed tothe advisory board, which was formed six years ago.  The board provides outstanding perspectiveand guidance to the company and establishes clear goals for its efforts andcommitment to nurturing inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

“Our Diversity Advisory Board’s invaluable guidance,service, and dedication for the past half decade have led to a number ofsignificant achievements for our company,” said Dian Ogilvie, senior vicepresident of Toyota Motor North America in a statement. “The board isimperative to our efforts, helping move us forward in the right direction.

While Irene Hirano and Sara Martinez Tucker, who have beenwith the advisory board since its inception, have stepped down from theirroles, former Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman will continue to chair theeight-member advisory board.
